High Meat Content

Quality ingredients rule!  All Kiwi Country™ pet food contains real meat as the number one ingredient.  High levels of good quality meat protein help maintain and develop muscles and aid tissue repair.

No Grain or Unnecessary Fillers

Kiwi Country™ does not include fillers like wheat, rice, soy, cornflour and glycerin.  Fillers don’t offer pets the same nutrition as a high meat diet and are sometimes linked to bowel and skin complaints.

Check the ingredient panel on your pet’s food.  Ingredients are listed in order, with number one being the main component of the food, number two on the list the second main ingredient and so on.  Ask yourself “Does my pet’s food contain a filler in the top three ingredients?”

New Zealand Green Mussel

Green Mussels are native to New Zealand.  NZ Mussels are a nutrition powerhouse brimming with omega-3 fatty acids, glucosamine and chondroitin.  Omega 3 can assist with –

  • inflammatory conditions such as joint pain, heart disease and diabetes
  • skin health
  • promoting lustrous glossy coats

Glucosamine and chondroitin are found in cartilage and ligaments, sadly both break down with age causing arthritis and reduced mobility.  Research now demonstrates NZ Green Mussel significantly reduces swollen joints and pain in arthritic dogs.

Kiwi Country™ is proud to include NZ Green Mussel in every formula.

Tripe

Tripe is the stomach of a ruminating (grazing) animal, including cattle and sheep.  Dogs love the smell and taste of tripe so it’s a great way to awaken the appetites of fussy eaters.  We love the powerful natural health benefits tripe provides for our dogs.  Tripe is packed with protein, probiotics and digestive enzymes for gut health.  Tripe allows dogs to –

  • utilise their food more efficiently
  • remove toxins
  • develop healthy muscle
  • enhance skin and coat
  • improve metabolism
  • boost immune system

Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit contains abundant Vitamin C, it provides collagen, antiviral and antibacterial support.  When your dog is unwell or their body is stressed their reserves of Vitamin C deplete rapidly.  Clinical studies show Vitamin C will help dogs through stress, sickness and even help recover from surgery.

Complete and Balanced

When a pet food label states “Complete and Balanced” the food must provide the pet with the correct nutrition in the correct amounts at every feed.

The term “Complete and Balanced” is governed by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).  AAFCO has established dog and cat food nutrient profiles at recommended levels.  If a pet food claims to be “Complete and Balanced” it must fulfil AAFCO standards.

At Kiwi Country™ we take “Complete and Balanced” extremely seriously.  Pets don’t do the shopping so when we make choices for them it’s reassuring to know they are receiving what they need in the right amounts.
